Do I need a big following?
No. There are two kinds of sponsors: fans and businesses. Your friends and family can sponsor you from day one, with a photo, a family quote or their name on your race.
What does it cost?
Nothing to join and nothing to run a campaign: you never pay FitSponsor up front. When a sponsor pays you, FitSponsor keeps 5% and Stripe takes its standard 2.9% + 30¢ card fee; that's Stripe's rate, not ours.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. You make what you sell yourself: we give you print files sized for each spot, you print them wherever you like, and you price your spots to cover it. There's nothing to buy from us to get started.
Who makes the tattoos and kit?
You do, with our print files. Optional, in the US only: our tattoo package, where we print your sponsors' tattoos (up to 8 × 10 in) and ship them to you within 3 business days, for $49 plus $5 a tattoo and $5 shipping. You'd only pay for it if tattoo spots sell, once those sales close 10 days before the race. Race kit you make yourself for now. Either way, price your spots to cover it; our guides show what each costs.
When do I get paid?
After the race: post race-day proof, your sponsors get 72 hours to check it, then it's paid to your bank through Stripe.
Can I say no to a sponsor?
Yes. Decline anyone and they're refunded in full.
Who can join?
Any athlete 18 or older, in any sport. Payouts need a bank account in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore or Thailand.
